Nearly 50% of employees at VELPROM are women, and the company is structured to reflect this gender representation, even in its ownership structure. Women in production perform a variety of tasks, from auxiliary roles to technical, specialized, and more demanding positions. While most work in post-production processes, many pursue additional training and education, becoming experts in their fields.
We are pleased that women show interest and a desire to grow by acquiring new knowledge and skills. Male colleagues readily accept women in all positions, to the point where we no longer notice whether a task is performed by a man or a woman. The only difference we recognize is between those who want to learn and improve, and those who do not. Those lacking motivation typically do not stay long with our team, which is understandable, success in the labor market and delivering quality work both require continuous education and growth.
All women in leadership roles are highly educated and do not differ in capability from their male counterparts. Their quality work contributes to VELPROM’s consistent growth. In the past, we often discussed how some women were hesitant to express their abilities, fearing they might not perform at the same level as men or would not be taken seriously, especially by older male colleagues. But as always, pioneers emerged. These brave women paved the way for others. Thanks to them, we now have a workplace where everyone, regardless of gender, earns their place through effort and commitment. There is no wage gap based on gender, only differences based on quality of work, knowledge, and dedication.
The role of the finance manager involves daily financial oversight, ensuring proper cash flow and managing expenditures. Key traits like consistency, multitasking, empathy, strong moral values, communication skills, vision, teamwork, flexibility, and persistence are all essential. While there’s always room for improvement, the key takeaway is that there is no gender distinction in everyday communication. Both men and women achieve excellent results in financial planning and tackling business challenges. Discrimination is not an issue in this role, decisions are made equally among leadership team members. The key word at VELPROM is capability, not gender.
My career at VELPROM began five years ago when I was hired as an administrative officer. Since then, I’ve also taken on responsibility for the procurement department. My position reflects what women often do best: multitasking. I am proud to have contributed to building VELPROM into the healthy, forward-looking company it is today.
I have over six years of work experience, three of which have been at VELPROM. During this time, I’ve never encountered gender inequality, particularly in the sales department where five out of six employees are women. Advancement within the company depends on effort, a willingness to learn, and continuous development, not on gender.
I’ve worked at VELPROM for over six years, and I truly enjoy what we do. Every day brings new challenges and tasks, which constantly push me to think of improvements. My colleagues teach me something new each day, and together we make progress. Experience, knowledge, and passion all play a role. Gender differences exist in all areas of life, but at VELPROM, several individuals have proven that a skilled expert, be it a technician, engineer, assistant, designer, manager, or operator, can be a woman who is also a mother, a wife, a friend, and someone who looks great while earning equal pay. These women paved the way for all those who came after them, often without realizing how much harder they had to work to be seen. Today, things run smoothly, and no one questions it anymore. While it may still be unusual to see a woman operating a forklift in the warehouse or solving complex technical issues with service technicians, any initial surprise from clients quickly fades once they see how professionally and efficiently their needs are met.
As a highly educated management professional with 14 years of work experience, eight of which have been in marketing and sales, I am responsible for projects such as developing our online store, creating content for social media, running newsletter campaigns, managing Google Ads, and producing other marketing materials. Leading the marketing department is a major responsibility because it involves representing VELPROM to both the wholesale and retail markets. I’m particularly happy that women play a leading role in sales as well. Our collaboration consistently leads to creative ideas that we develop and implement together.
Velprom offers solutions in all printing techniques: digital, offset, and screen printing as well as additional finishing effects such as hot stamping, blind embossing, and UV coating. The materials we use include various types of paperboard, cardboard, corrugated cardboard, and various types of board materials.
